Chapter Sixteen

ABEL

Max and I wake up with the bright warm sun shining through the curtains. Ollie jumped on the bed and has his entire body weight on top of me and he’s staring at me, assessing me, probably wondering what I’m doing in bed with his Mom. Cute little dude is going to have to learn that I have no intention of leaving any time soon.

“Ollie, go lay down.” Max mumbles, voice thick with sleep.

He licks her one time and obeys, jumping off the bed and sauntering out of the room.

“The fact that he didn’t argue lets me know he likes you, he’s just confused. You’re the first guy he’s ever met. He doesn’t know what to make of that.”

I let her words sink in and feel slightly like a jackass that they make me smile. I shouldn’t be happy that she’s felt forced to stay away from guys for so long. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me feel ten feet tall knowing that I’m the one she trusted to let in.

“Well the more time I spend around him, the more he’ll get used to me.”

“Good plan. I like having you here. I haven’t slept that good in ages.”

“Me either. We could make a habit out of that and I wouldn’t complain at all.”

Max’s smile could light up a solar panel, it’s that powerful. I lean down to kiss her, and she laces he fingers through my hair. My body responds, and without conscious though and I push my erection into her stomach. She responds with a moan.

“Shit, I’m sorry, I didn’t think. I promised I wouldn’t push.”

“It’s okay, we agreed that over the clothes was fine. We could… Um, if you wanted to I mean.”

“You want me to do what we did on the couch again?”

“If that’s okay… I don’t want to send mixed signals or anything.”

I respond by placing my mouth back on hers and thrusting against her. I’m okay moving at whatever speed she’s comfortable with. And I actually like the fact that I can get her off like this. Her legs tighten around my back and she pushes up, meeting my thrusts. I know that whenever she does feel comfortable enough to let us do this for real, she will be amazing in bed.

“Oh shit, right there.” She says breathlessly.

I take one of her legs and hike it up a little higher and push a little rougher against that spot for emphasis. She bites her lip and moans while her hands shift to my biceps for leverage. I bite down on her neck and by the way she’s gripping my arms, and stopped gyrating against me, I know she just came.

“Holy fuck.” She says.

“You have no idea how sexy you sound when you come.”

She blushes.

“I’ll have to remember how much you like that spot in the future.” I smile at her and place a kiss on her lips.

“No one has ever bitten me before. That was hot.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah. Um, I should probably warn you that I’m not very um… experienced.
