Chapter 5:

Double your Blogging productivity with Evernote

1. Blogging Support

Whether using a blogging site as a means to earn money or just for the fun of it, blogging is the perfect way to reach out information and opinions to thousands of people around the world. It is a growing trend moving towards informal and formal usage. You have so many ideas in your head and you’re constantly inspired on the go. What better way to manage your blog ideas into one app, say Evernote. What Evernote aims to achieve is that you will be able to write different notes about different blog ideas that you can keep until you are ready to publish the finished product. How does it work?

1. Get a template of making blog notes on Evernote. You can set this up by yourself according to your own preferences. The most basic thing to remember when writing a blogging template is: the title (what you are writing about), the overall theme (what part of the content are you focusing on) the content (what exactly are you going to include in this post complete with bullet pointed answers). This will help you finalize your topics later on.

2. All you have to do is to copy your blog template to your blog notebook with a tag relating to your different concepts of your posts. You can make each blog idea distinct by naming it according to what its content is. This way you can have plenty of ideas that you just need to jot down that you can refer to later.

3. Writing your blog on Evernote is extremely easy. Just write all the things you have included in your template and constantly work on it and edit it until perfection. Once you are satisfied with the end result, you can now upload it on Evernote.

4. You can literally copy and paste whatever you’ve written on Evernote into your blog of choice. Of course, you will need to alter its settings such as the font, size, etc. of the words to your liking. It’s not necessary, if you want a simple blog, then copy and paste will do.

2. Clip websites

Have you ever came across a situation where you find an inspiration online that would look great on your website? Before that inspiration turns to dust, Evernote allows you to Clipwebsites. What this means is that you can take parts of different websites that have caught your attention and you can use it later as influence to new blog ideas. It’s really simple; this is what you should do:

1. Find a blog worth searching for and clip certain parts of the sites. Use the Web Clipper feature on Evernote to start extracting some sites. You can cut parts of the site and review it offline to improve productivity.

2. Once you’ve gotten the screenshots of the sites, you can annotate the clips to personalize and add new inputs on that specific inspiration.

3. Finally, you can share it to individuals or a group of people. This way it will be easier to discuss the specifics to your team or business group.
