Chapter Seven
Sarina
Home. I say to myself as I take in my surroundings. It’s the word Dayton has been saying all day, no doubt trying to get me used to it. The truth is, as wrong as it may be, this does feel like a home. Definitely more so than my parents’ house. Don’t get me wrong, I love my parents and we were close. But, both of them being lawyers also had its...place I guess you could say. Everything in our home always seemed...in order, if you will. Everything had its place. There was no room for self-expression, or to add a little color. Not even me and Rory’s room. I was used to it though and was just glad to have parents who loved us.
However, looking around Dayton’s place, it looks, lived in, warm and filled with personality and grace. Not at all what I would expect from a man. As a matter of fact, it looks just like something I would have done. The living room is a beautiful shade of mint green. His furniture is a bluish grey with hints of egg yolk and vanilla all around. His kitchen, a gorgeous neutral color, giving way to any color accents. Put simply, I love it.
I make it to the stairs and hesitate, not sure I want to venture up there. I turn and hear him on the phone in his office. Taking a deep breath, I figure I might as well go and take a look in Rory’s room and make sure it doesn’t need anything that I can run and get from the store. That reminds me I need to find out what the deal is. How do I get access to the inheritance my father said he was leaving for me and my sister? I want to take care of her. Give her anything she needs and everything she wants. Walking up the stairs, I stop at the room to the left of the stairs, noting the door is closed. Huh. Must be my room. I will get to that in a moment. Standing at the door of her room, I note it looks cute and tidy. The movers have moved all her things inside, while the unpackers have done a good job of setting everything up.
“What are you thinking baby?” he asks. He is so close to me; his breath is making promises his mouth is not saying. Teasing me, making me want.
“N-nothing. You have a beautiful home, Dayton.”
“Wrong word, Rina. Say it right, baby.”
One of his hands moves under my shirt, rubbing up and down my back as his other hand runs along the top of my pants. “Come on baby, say it right.” his voice becoming more commanding. I don't know how he expects me to do or say anything when he is touching me. Hell, I barely know my name right now.
“Ours.” I manage to stammer out.
“Shit, baby. Say it again, Rina. I need to hear the words one more time.” His tongue comes out and licks my shoulder to my face.
