Minnesota United FC True North Elite fans

The “United” in the team’s name comes from the desire to unite the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis around their shared soccer team. Minnesota United FC is also known as MNUFC and the Loons. The team has its own mascot. He is a silly loon named PK who likes to search for adventures. He’s not the best soccer player. PK gets the fans excited about their team. No one is quite sure where the name “PK” came from, but it has stuck.

1Prior to kickoff at Minnesota United games, a loon call is played over the loudspeakers.

2A third Minnesota soccer supporters’ group, Wolf’s Head, was formed in 2014.
