I wouldn’t take a million dollars for that moment. It was as if in a split second God reached down into the darkest place in my life and held out His hand for me to come with Him. All the years of feeling ashamed and afraid seemed to melt away, and I stood up taller and lifted up my head. As I left Dr. Meier’s office that day, I found myself whispering, “I understand now, Dad, I understand.”
