8.8 Poulet Grille au Gingembre (Grilled Chicken With Ginger)

Ingredients:

· 1 tbsp. of finely chopped ginger.

· ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice.

· 1 bay leaf, broken into small pieces.

· 1 chicken.

· 1 tsp. of minced garlic.

· 2 tbsp. of olive oil.

· ½ tsp. of dried thyme.

· Melted butter.

· Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.

Instructions:

1. Place the chicken in a bowl.

2. In a shallow mixing bowl, combine the garlic, thyme, lemon, ginger, bay, oil, and pepper and salt as per taste.

3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and refrigerate for around 3 to 4 hours.

4. Preheat the grill to medium-high temperature.

5. Place the chicken on the grill with the skin side down. Cook until the skin is well browned, then flip. Continue to cook, turning the chicken every 20 to 25 minutes or until finished. Serve with a scoop of melted butter on top.
