Imitating Lambs and Kids at Play

We, both boys and girls, endlessly imitated lambs and kids at play. These offspring were new-borns of no more than a month old, who did not yet know how to eat grass or drink water and had also not been tethered.

We tried to jump and run like them. Their playful and extraordinary jumps were what we were most captivated by, but we could not mimic them. They made abrupt, high jumps over small spaces.

We also found them cute and adorable, and therefore, held them hostage while petting them, until they cried out and their mothers came charging at us. Sometimes, they cried out because we were preventing them from going to suckle, and sometimes they felt smothered by our fussing with them.
