The formulas in row 5 always fill in enough color after the bullet to appropriately fill the whitespace from Figure 7.27.

When the bullet value is in the good zone, C5 and D5 are zero. E5 calculates enough of the good color to fill the whitespace to the right of the bullet. (See Figure 7.30.)

To finish the main portion of the chart, make the chart shorter. Remove the Shape Outlines from all series. The chart now looks almost like a Bullet chart. The only thing missing is the quota marker.

The quota marker is really a Y-Error bar drawn from a single-point scatter series. To draw the quota at 47,000, use an X value of 47000 and a Y value of 1. Copy those two cells. Select the chart and Paste Special. Choose New Series and Categories (X Labels) in First Column. Click OK. (See Figure 7.31.)
