​ Now we start. on a section dedicated to animals. The next few sketches will be based on different animals, and aren't you excited! We will start out with the basic line work as described in the first few steps. This is a very progressive piece to work on as it flows with more descriptive steps. Since it’s the first animal sketch its best to take your time with the lining. By the time you get to the last two steps you see the leap taken from the lining to the shading.

My recommendation is to take it slow as you add the details such as the fur and the more intricate layers of detail. Go into it slowly and make sure that your completed work is as close to the original as possible. If you find it difficult then try it again and don't hesitate to start over should you have to at any point.
