Shanghai Style Pork Belly

Serves: 4
Ingredients:
â 1 lb pork belly
â Salt and pepper to taste
â 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
â 2 cloves garlic, minced
â 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
â 1 red bell pepper, chopped
â 3 tablespoons black vinegar
â 2 tablespoons soy sauce
â 1 tablespoon brown sugar
â 1 teaspoon sesame oil
â 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Preparation:
Season the pork belly with salt and pepper to taste.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork belly and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Add in the garlic, ginger, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together the black vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
Pour the mixture over the pork belly and vegetables. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat and vegetables.
Serve the Shanghai style pork belly over rice and enjoy!
