For the sauce
1 grated garlic clove
2 tbsp. of soy sauce, low sodium
1 tbsp. of sugar, granulated
1 tbsp. of vinegar, rice
1/2 tbsp. of chili bean sauce
1/2 tbsp. of oil, sesame
1/2 tbsp. of sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions:
1. Combine sauce ingredients in large sized bowl. Add veggies and sliced salmon. Mix and combine well.
2. Fill a medium sized bowl halfway with cooked rice. Cover with vegetable and salmon mixture. Place nori on the top. Serve.
15 – Unagi Donburi
Don’t let the “unagi” scare you away from this bowl. They are eels. The sweet sauce and rice make them taste irresistible.
Makes 4 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
2 defrosted unagi (eel) fillets
Optional: sansho pepper
Unagi sauce
1/4 cup of mirin
1/4 cup of soy sauce, low sodium
1 1/2 tbsp. of sake
2 1/2 tbsp. of sugar, granulated
