A bit of chaos here after last night’s storm. The winds made white caps on the river bigger than I’ve ever seen before, and one of the ships anchored mid-river got loose and was blown about. It slammed into a ship moored at the dock, and then one of them was struck by lightning, starting a fire in the rigging that quickly spread between the ships. The only thing that saved us from complete disaster was the rain.

The ferry was on the other side, and it seems to have broken loose from its moorings and disappeared downstream. So until we can build a new ferry, travel from the Devereux and Peveril domains is cut off unless they take the long way around to connect with the Great North Road in Montfort’s domain.

Cleanup is underway and I’ve set the shipwrights to work on a new ferry, but it will be a couple of weeks – perhaps a bit more – before we have things back to normal.
