CHAPTER TWELVE

DUTCH

I stumble into the shower and turn the water on. It pelts down on me. Icy cold. There wasn’t any time to adjust the temperature, not when I’m fever hot on the inside. Calamine lotion sluices off my skin with the water. I grind my forehead to the tiled wall, trying to break the images in my head.

Jeanie beneath me, her gaze locked with mine, her lips parted on a quick intake of breath, waiting, anticipating, wanting me.

Jeanie’s hands on my chest, her palms smoothing over my skin, hot, tantalizing, making my lungs ache and my body tighten. Craving her exploration, her grip, her slow tease.

Jeanie’s legs falling open around my hips. I doubt she even realized the position we were in, or how much I wanted to run my hand from her knee up her thigh to the hem of her shorts. Such a tiny bit of fabric, and so much temptation underneath it.

I could barely keep myself in check, and yet when she said she wanted to leave I couldn’t let her go. I didn’t lie when I said I needed her help to overcome my personal space issues, but it was an excuse, the first thing I could come up with that she couldn’t say no to because of our friendship.

I fell asleep with these thoughts going around and ‘round like a carousel.

I woke up with fire raging in my veins.

The tip of her tongue roving over her lip, teasing me closer. A hand skating over my pec, her thumb brushing across my nipple, sending a bolt of sensation to my cock that makes my abs crunch. Her satiny palm smoothing over my shoulder, my bicep, my forearm. Delicate fingers grasping my hand, entwining with mine, and then moving it to her thigh. “Touch me, Dutch.”

Lust is a sharp ache in my chest, and a tight ball of yarn in my gut. Her eyes are dark with desire. I skim my fingers along the scrap of material between her legs and she bows into my touch. Unrestrained, drenched, needy. “If I touch you, I won’t be able to stop. I won’t want to.”

Even now the dream is vivid. Tantalizingly real. I lean against the tiled wall, rest my head on the chilled ceramic. I’ve grown accustomed to the temperature of the water. It’s started to feel warm and is no longer affecting my overheated body. Mild shrinkage gives way to a major expansion that I take in hand and slowly pump.

“Then don’t stop.” She covers my hand with hers and moans as she rubs her heat into my palm. “Make me scream your name.”

Stripping her out of her shorts and panties, I toss them aside. She lifts her shirt over her head, and I discard that too. She’s all soft curves and valleys. Sweet moans and quick breaths. I don’t know how I ignored how sexy she is for so long, or how I convinced myself that we could just be friends. My boxer briefs find their way to the floor.
