“Have you seen my purse?” Judy asked frantically.

Bob shook his head. “Don’t you always keep it by the coatrack there?”

“Yes, but it’s not there,” Judy said, feeling exasperated.

Bob scanned the house, then his eyes caught a woven bag sticking out from behind a pillow on the couch. “There it is on the couch,” he said pointing.

Judy gave a sigh of relief, grabbed the bag, then ran over for a kiss and hug from Bob before rushing to the front door. “I’m late for my meeting with the ladies.”

Bob chuckled. “Didn’t you all just meet the other day?”

Judy rolled her eyes. “Yes, but we need to meet again. I came up with a great idea for the reunion, and we must get it all in place this week. Now, are you going to be OK hanging out with Carol until I get home?”

Bob nodded. “Of course. She’s your sister after all. We’ll find something to do.”

Judy smiled. “Good. I’m glad. Maybe some one-on-one bonding time will be good for you two. I probably should have canceled this meeting, knowing Carol was coming for a visit, but the reunion is days away,” Judy said as she walked out the door and headed out.

Twenty minutes later, she met the ladies for drinks and appetizers at Mayer’s Tavern to discuss the reunion.

Doris sat at the table with five notebooks and passed them out to the women. “So, it’s been decided that we all really liked Judy’s idea for the reunion. Frankly, I wish I had thought of it.”

Judy smiled as everyone agreed with Doris.

Bernadette took a deep breath. “The reunion is so close. Now that we’ve finally figured out what we’re going to do, we need to start delegating. I have money from the class fund to buy supplies. Does everyone have time to go shopping?”

Everyone nodded.

“Perfect. Because we need a lot to make this work. First things first: let’s get the invitations out so everyone knows the theme. I’ll send emails and post invites on social media tonight,” Bernadette said.

Paulette took a sip of her drink. “I’ll get in contact with the caterers to make sure everything is set.”

“And I’ll be in touch with the DJ and the bartender,” Janice said as she looked at the menu.

Judy sighed. “I guess that leaves me with the venue. I really hope this works out and people come. It is short notice with the theme.”
