About the campground: This campground is on my favorites list, not so much for the campground itself but because I love Dale Hollow Lake. It’s the home of the world record smallmouth bass, and trophy smallmouth bass are caught from this lake every year. Smallmouth fishing is obviously king here, but this lake also has a very good crappie population. The lure of crystal-clear water coupled with some world-class fishing puts this campground high on places I come back to again and again. The campground has it all; however, if you plan to drive your RV to the water, you need to know it’s a steep downhill to the water. Some big RVs have problems getting back up the hill. The state park is located in Illwill Creek, which splits into Fannys Creek, just across from the Wisdom boat dock and marina. The park is centrally located between Wolf River and the dam.
