Gothaab Hall, Nuuk, Greenland August 29, 1997

Sound: Very good soundboard recording (rating=7.5)

Length: 15 Minutes

Set List:

Stereotypes, Coping, Girls and Boys

Comments: This ultra-rare fragment of three songs from Blur’s one and only show in Greenland is priceless, and all that is known to exist. Supposedly, Blur only played to between 1000 and 2000 people. But in a country as sparsely populated as Greenland, that’s remarkable.

Stereotypes is very aggressive and strong and sounds like it’s in fine health. Coping is blistering, played really heavily and with excitement! Damon seems to be all over the place and Graham’s backing vocals and energy are in marked contrast to the Iceland show two days later. Girls and Boys has some really prominent bass from Alex and is a good version. As usual with priceless fragments like this, where’s the rest?
