0.0 Hike south from the trailhead, branching left along the shore where the Newport Trail continues south.

1.4 At the junction with the Newport Trail, turn left.

2.1 At the junction with the Ridge Trail, turn right and follow the Ridge and Newport Trails back to the trailhead.

3.5 Arrive back at the trailhead.

Finding the trailhead: From the state park office, head back north on Newport Lane to CR NP and go west 0.5 mile to Timberline Road. Turn right and head north again 1 mile to Europe Bay Road. Turn right and find the trailhead in 1.1 miles at Liberty Grove Town Park. The trail starts at the road and goes north. Trailhead GPS: N45 25.942’ / W86 98.600’
