Consequently, it is possible to deduce the amplitude E0 of the Langmuir wave by measuring the experimental half-width of L-dips.

Before presenting the analysis of the experimental Si XIV spectral lines, the authors of paper [1] noted the following. The laser frequency ω corresponds to the wavelength λ of approximately 1054 nm. At lower, non-relativistic laser intensities, the critical electron density Nc is determined from the equation ω = ωpe, where , would be 1.0 × 1021 cm−3.
