Eighteen

WARREN

I panted like I’d run a mile while Reed kissed down my neck and slid his hands under my shirt. He gently scratched at my happy trail while nibbling on my earlobe. I melted into the couch underneath him.

One minute we were looking at numbers, and the next, I was swept away by relief. Reed lifted a burden heavier than Santa’s sleigh off my shoulders. As the cumulative effects from over a year of worry receded, a want so desperate, so needy filled the space. I needed, wanted, to show Reed my gratitude.

When we’d stumbled to the couch, we nearly tripped over the dogs, our mouths barely leaving each other.

“I love how your beard feels against my skin,” Reed rasped as I kissed across his clavicle.

I wasn’t sure how long it’d been since I’d been a guy’s first time. College? Despite wanting to be completely present with Reed, part of me feared he would panic at any moment. I’d heard horror stories from friends who’d fooled around with curious guys who ended up freaking out.

I knew Reed wouldn’t lash out at me, but I wasn’t as confident that he wouldn’t shut down. Things could get awkward between us. While the territory north of my nose worked on that issue, the rest of my body focused on how I could touch Reed’s dick or get him to touch mine. Really, any dick touching would be ideal.

Reed took control of the kiss and pushed me back against the arm of the couch. Lifting my shirt, he flicked his finger across my nipple.

He’d made space for me to be vulnerable so I could do the same for him. Especially if it meant that I got to be his first time with a man. I would do whatever he wanted if I got to claim that title.

“Can I take this off?” He tugged at my shirt.

“Anything you want. Damn, Reed, you’re so sexy like this.”

He leaned back on his haunches and gave me space to take my shirt off. “You think I’m sexy?”

The usual rosy hue to his pale skin was as dark as his swollen lips. His pupils overtook his vibrant green eyes.

“Are you kidding? You’re looking at me like I’m a Red Lobster biscuit.” I leaned up to kiss him. His tongue immediately came out to greet mine as he lowered himself on me. I placed one foot on the ground for stability and hooked my other leg around his. I lost myself to the comfort of Reed’s weight on me as we made out like horny teenagers on his aunt’s couch.

There was a bounce on the couch before Reed grunted into my mouth. That was soon followed by high-pitched barking.

“I gave you little shits two extra treats earlier, and now you’re trying to cockblock me? What the fuck?” Reed snapped his fingers and pointed to the dog bed.

Mulder jumped on my leg and used it like a bridge to crawl up to my chest, squeezing between Reed and me. I scrunched my face as his dog breath filled the space between us.
