LUMBAR
Property
The lumbar muscles are very strong muscles that surround the spine and have the function of extending, flexing, tilting and twisting the trunk and maintaining a correct posture as they are frequently involved in many daily
activities.
It makes up this area the quadratus lumborum, the inferior posterior dentate, the multifidus and the lumbar ileocostal which extends for almost the entire length of the back.
Why training it?
Regular exercise can reduce the risk of lower back pain such as back pain caused by numerous factors such as a
sedentary lifestyle or, conversely, in the case of excessive strain on the back and incorrect postural attitudes.
In any case, combining exercise with good eating habits is not very recommended.
Among the problems to which this area is subject, for
which stretching can be useful, there are also contractu- res and lumbar lordosis.
