Check Privacy – Turn Off Monitoring

It has been reported that Windows 10 monitors user actions and data more than any previous version of Windows. By default, many of these features are turn on and need to be disabled.

1. Click the Start Menu and then click Settings.

2. Click Privacy and then (scroll down) click Feedback & Diagnostics. Click the arrow next to Send your device data to Microsoft and a full list appears. Select Basic.

Clean Up Your Start Menu

If you never upgraded to Windows 8.0, you were lucky not to have encountered the Live Tiles feature. Then so many users complained, that with Windows 8.1, the old Start Menu returned. Well guess what? THEY’RE BACK! Now it is easy to remove Live Tiles and make your Start Menu look more like Windows 7.

1. Locate a tile to remove, right-click over the tile, and then select Unpin from Start.
