30.4 - 3D Cities

The 3D Cities feature is a little novelty Microsoft have added to the Maps app. Certain major cities now have a 3D map view that you can use to explore them. Although this is no substitute for a street view feature of course. Click or tap the button shown here, then choose a city. You will be taken to that city on the map, but this time you will get a full 3D view, letting you explore several famous locations. You can scroll around and zoom in and out just like when working with the regular maps. Figure 30.8 shows an example of exploring New York in 3D Cities mode.
