Note: If you use your Microphone to communicate with people using apps such as Skype, then you will need to leave the “Allow access to the microphone on this device” to on as well as the “Allow apps to access your microphone”. Under the “Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your microphone”, you will need to set the Skype app to “on”. However, I do not use my microphone to communicate with anyone on my computer. Therefore, I set these settings to off. If you do use this feature, I highly encourage you to come back to this setting and ensure only the right apps have access to your microphone.

Voice Activation

Click on “Voice Activation”. You will see “Allow apps to use voice activation”, “Allow apps to use voice activation when this device is locked”, and “Choose which apps can use voice activation”. For each of these settings, we are going to switch them to off.
