CROSS-TRAINING WORKOUTS
Fitness routines should always be goal-specific. Sometimes, however, your specific goal is to be capable of just about anything. This is where cross-training comes in. The idea here is to build both strength and endurance simultaneously. I have to be clear, though, you will not achieve the same results with a cross-training program that you would with a more focused approach.
Because it is a sort of middle ground, cross-training is a good way for people who previously focused solely on strength to make a gradual transition to endurance training, and vice versa. If you have little to no experience with either strength or endurance training, start at the beginner level here.
