“Your dreams were normal,” I say as I let my fingers trail over Alex’s cheek.

“You were in them? I don’t even remember that. Was there anything super kinky involved?” he asks.

“So kinky. You were in all black, dominatrix style.”

“Oh, I was a woman?”

“Male… dominatrix.”

“You’re clearly up on the BDSM scene.”

“You had like a horse smacky thing.”

“A crop?”

“And you were like ‘Ride that pony!’ But I was the pony, and it was very confusing but equally arousing,” I decide.

“Whoa, boy, I think you’re making all of this up.”

I grin at him. “I am. Your dreams were pretty mild.”

“Weird that I didn’t dream about the bus… but I still think we need to talk to her.”

“Okay. I’d assume she wouldn’t be working until this evening at the earliest,” I say. “We’ll blame it on my gift when we talk to her.”

“Thank you.”

“Of course.”

“And thank you for not thinking that I’m losing my mind because sometimes… sometimes I feel like I am.”

I give him a reassuring smile, hoping that I never make him feel that way. “I don’t blame you, but I’m here for you. And we’re going to tackle this together,” I say as I pull back the blankets a little. “Hey, you look a little better today.”

“I’m just glad you didn’t leave in the middle of the night after all of that.”

“This is my house.”

“Yeah, but you’re rich enough to go buy a new house to avoid me,” Alex says.

“I would hands down do the opposite for you. I’d literally buy a house for you just to snag your attention. Want a new house? A car? Am I coming off a little strong? I feel like this is a little strong,” I say.

Alex shakes his head at me, clearly amused. “What about a coffee sometime?”

“Made with gold and diamonds? Coming right up.”

He grins and shakes his head again before pressing into me, so I wrap my arms around him, happy I get to feel him close to me.
