Chapter 11

If memory serves, it was mid-November and about the ninth time all-in-all that ‘we’d gotten together with Saul. Sarah had been her typically excited self – always how she was these days in the days immediately before she knew she’d be getting a play date and a sound fucking from her young boyfriend.

I say ‘boyfriend’, because with the regularity and frequency with which she was now seeing Saul, there was no other way to describe his role in her life.

My wife of nine years had a boyfriend!

A twenty-year-old college junior, African American in origin and blessed with a nine-inch cock. The thirty-plus married community college instructor had a secret boyfriend, safely secreted a three-hour drive away from her colleagues, students and family. God only knows what they’d have said if any of them had known. Or if any of them had seen my beautiful wife in the throes of passion with her young black boyfriend. All flowing brunette curls as she knelt before her new man to blow him and get him ready. In fact, Sarah was even more enthusiastic than normal as we drove across to Lexington, squirming around on the car seat like an excited schoolgirl off on her first date. We’d had to miss our previous week’s planned get together as we’d had a family commitment with my parents that we couldn’t escape.

Or more accurately, that I wouldn’t let Sarah escape. She’d have been more than happy to leave me to entertain my folks who were visiting from Baltimore and head off without me for her fortnightly fuckathon with her young boyfriend. But I was insistent that I didn’t want her meeting up with Saul without me there. After some sulking, pouting and efforts to get me to change my mind, Sarah finally agreed and rang her twenty-year-old lover to give him the bad news.

Cue conversation between Saul and me, which started off as pleasant and polite, but which slowly became more heated and confrontational as Saul did his best to get me to reverse course. We didn’t end up shouting at each other, but the tone was angry and frustrated from both of us. Me sticking to my guns, reminding him this thing only worked if it was a three-way deal, making clear I considered this to be a decision between me and Sarah, that I didn’t appreciate his inputs and views, and that what he wanted didn’t really concern me. Unsurprisingly Saul had a different view, borderline suggesting that I was being selfish and that I was only thinking of myself. Neglecting what the other two people in this set-up wanted.

We’d just about managed to stay civil with each other, and he did text me to semi-apologize a couple of days later.

A week later on, as we drove across, our heated words and his attitude seemed something that was in the past.
