Mean computational model. The mean computational model is constructed by using the Craig-Bampton substructuring method. Plates 1 and 2 are modeled by two isotropic thin plates. The complex joint is modeled by an equivalent orthotropic plate. Three substructures are introduced, plate 1, plate 2, and the complex joint. The finite element models of the three substructures are carried out with compatible meshes made up of four-nodes bending plate elements. The mesh size is 0. 01 m × 0. 01 m. The assembled structure has 16 653 DOFs, the number of internal DOFs of plate 1, plate 2, and the complex joint are respectively, 6 039, 2 379, and 7 869. The number of coupling DOFs for each interface is 183.
