Chapter Two

Oh. He felt that from the tips of his fingers all through his body and it took everything he had not to react, not to give away the pounding in his heart. He moved his fingers. Not trying to pet, just moving them in the air. They brushed Shen’s whiskers in return, another pleased jolt moving through Levi. Would the lovely kit take more?

Xeno and Stripe watched him closely, clearly aware of what was happening, but no one stopped Shen.

There was another brush of Shen’s whiskers on his skin, tickling. He turned his hand, offering Shen his palm to smell, hopefully to scent and nuzzle. The softest lick made him moan.

Stripe and Xeno shot him a look, but he only smiled at them, waiting for another touch from Shen. He wasn’t hurting the lovely kit, not for a second.

“He’s ours, you know,” Xeno said. “We’re not letting him go.”

“Grooming and petting from me does not negate that.” Their trust was definitely not earned yet, though they clearly did not believe that he would harm any of them. They still thought he might be capable of separating them, but not harming.

“No. No, I guess not. He doesn’t take to strangers,” Xeno pointed out, despite the fact that Shen had made the first move with him.

“I imagine there have been a lot of strangers.” He smiled as Shen’s muzzle pressed almost insistently into his hand.

“Too many.” Xeno curled into Stripe, face lifting to beg a kiss from the big tiger.

Xeno was very sexual, though there was clearly comfort in it as well as need. Levi was glad Xeno and Stripe had each other. But where did that leave Shen? Not that he believed they would leave Shen out in the cold, but they didn’t think Shen wanted touches as much as they did, and Levi believed they were wrong about that. Shen needed too.

They were all going to have to come for air eventually and learn how to live in the world on their own. Levi was sure they were capable; it was simply that there was no desire to do it yet.

Shen nudged his hand again, this time quite firmly, and he moved it, sliding his fingers along the soft muzzle before giving Shen scratches on his head. So fuzzy. This one’s human form had to be so hot, compared to the other two. And they weren’t slouches in that department, so that was saying a lot.

He continued to scratch and rub Shen’s head, and had to smile again when the purring started. This boy was a hedonist, even if he didn’t know it. It would be easy to exploit, and it was Levi’s job to make sure Shen didn’t go from the zoo to another type of servitude. That all three of them didn’t. If they indulged in sex or any other activity, it had to be because they wanted it.

Across from him, Stripe was focused on Xeno, on sharing long, slow kisses. Their passion was almost thick in the air, and it made Levi shift in his chair.
