Chapter Fifteen

AVERY

Three Months Later

“God-fucking-dammit!”

Yup, those are the exact words I’ve been cursing aloud for the last three fucking months like a damn prayer, but more importantly the words I’ve uttered on repeat for the last sixty seconds.

“I told you coming out this way was a bad idea,” Chloe mutters under her breath but I still hear the gloating in her voice. I look over my shoulder and glare at my best friend who’s not so innocently looking down at her feet with her arms crossed against her chest, pushing the swells of her perky breasts up and out of the top she’s wearing.

I catch a glimpse of a smirk creeping along her lips, peeking out from under her blond hair cascading over her shoulders and falling like a soft curtain over a part of her face.

She tightens her arms against her chest to keep warm, further pushing up her tits as her right heel taps anxiously against the concrete. So what if Chloe’s right? Who cares if Little Miss I told you so did in fact tell me working at The Rabbit Hole was a bad idea?

“Ughh,” I groan, pounding my fists against the black metal door that shut and locked on us two minutes ago, stranding us in the middle of a dark, filthy, and putrid smelling alleyway. “Let us in!” I shout out but it’s no use. The door is practically bulletproof.

I trace my fingers along the cold dirty steel and see an actual bullet hole in the upper righthand corner of the thing.

Rolling my eyes at my failed attempt to get the damn thing open, I turn and lean back against the brick wall to my right, repeatedly banging my head against it. “Can this night get any worse?”

“Avery, don’t jinx us!” Chloe shouts, shimming in her Alice and Wonderland DIY costume. It’s a super tight baby blue corset top with matching garter belt peeking out under the short white miniskirt that barely covers her ass. Actually scratch that, I can see her small round cheeks peeking under the fabric wrapped around her ass thanks to the black fuck me heels she’s wearing over white, knee-high stockings.

No, it’s not Halloween but everyone knows when you come to The Rabbit Hole it’s customary for the employees to be in character. Of course the moment we were hired by the White Rabbit himself, our boss Brayden, he knew exactly what he had in mind for Chlo and me.

The clichéd yet obvious choice - Alice and the Mad Hatter - Johnny Depp’s version of course with a dark green velvet corset and a purple and pink frilly skirt.

Does she look fucking sexy as hell? Fuck yes. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one who thought so tonight. Which brings us to the reason we’re stranded outside of the bar we’ve been working at for the last two weeks.

Some drunk patron thought it was prudent of him to cop a feel of my girl as she shimmied around the bar to take his and his buddies order.
