Chapter 11

Ashley

Having a monster bite me would never get old.

The ropes had been untied, I had been freed of Aaecus’ crazy cock, and I was now sandwiched between him and Minos in bed.

Both of them were nuzzling the mating bonds they had made.

I stared at the ceiling, wondering how the fuck I’d ended up here.

I kind of liked it.

Minos kissed my shoulder, rubbing my body.

He and Aaecus were being insanely sweet.

They were…

They were taking care of me.

It felt strange, knowing that I should hate them. I was supposed to despise both of them.

But instead, I found myself thinking about the bonds they’d made with me.

I found myself wondering about the way Damon had watched the three of us on the couch.

He hadn’t looked like he hated me then. He’d looked like he wanted me.

“Who knew that the two of you would be so soft,” I grumbled.

Aaecus and Minos both snorted, but neither disagreed.

“Who knew a human would end up mated to both of us,” Minos chuckled.

Aaecus groaned. “As if I needed something else to bind us together.”

I found myself grinning even though both of them were idiots.

Well, really, all of us were idiots.

“How was your day outside of this prison?” I asked Minos.

He scoffed, “It was…annoying. I didn’t want to be away from you, but we had business to attend to.”

There was a heavy pause, and I felt him and Aaecus looking at each other. I tipped my head back, looking from one to the other.

There seemed to be some unspoken agreement that was just made, and I wanted to know what it was about.

“Ashley…Typhon wants you back,” Aaecus said slowly.

I sat up immediately, my heart jumping in my throat. “If you give me back to him, he will kill me.”

“Relax,” Minos purred, pushing me back down onto the pillows between them. “You’re not going anywhere. Contract or no contract, he’s not getting you.”

I frowned, pressing my lips together into a thin line.

Suddenly, I didn’t want to think about what would happen after the contract was up.

Aaecus pressed his lips to my forehead, sighing. “What I was saying is that Typhon wants you back, and Damon told him no and declared war.”

“Damon….Damon what?”

“He declared war on Typhon over you.”

Did I hear them right? Were they messing with me?

“Why would he do that?” I whispered.

“Because,” Damon’s gruff voice echoed through the room.

I lifted my head, meeting his dark gaze from the doorway. His arms were crossed over his chest, his shirt cuffs rolled up.

He looked entirely too delicious to be someone that I should hate, but also someone who had just saved me from death.

I knew Typhon would kill me the moment I ended up in his gloved hands again.

I swallowed hard because this was the first time Damon had said a word to me that wasn’t mean.

“I would like to talk to Ashley alone for a little bit,” Damon said.

My heart dropped as Minos and Aaecus both tensed.

“We’re caring for her right now,” Minos said tightly.

“I didn’t say for a long time,” Damon countered.
