I was nervous when I returned home, thinking Brad might have woke up and noticed I wasn’t there. I'd prepared a lie to tell him: I went to the store to get some Midol. Thankfully, he still slept like a log, snoring loudly.

Since I’d already taken a shower at Troy’s place, I slipped on a nightgown and got into bed. I stayed as close to the edge of my side of the bed as I could without tumbling to the floor. After being with Troy, I didn’t even want any part of Brad to brush against me.

I relived the last hour I’d spent with Troy over and over in my mind. Damn, that man sure knew how to fuck the shit out of a woman. Had I known he’d turn out like that, I would have tried harder to hang on to him. For the first time in years, I fell asleep with a grin of satisfied on my face.
