“I’ve got to go,” Paul whispers into her ear as he pulls out of her and presses his cheek lightly to hers. “Will you be okay? Is that even all right? Shit, what is the etiquette for when the neighbours’ son comes round to fuck your wife?” He laughs, Penny imagines because what else is there to do? “It’s just that if I don’t get to work and sort this mess out, I might not have a job to go back to.”

He looks harassed as she pops her mouth free of Teddy’s erection. Torn. Not wanting to leave. Desperately wanting to stay. And she knows he would. Stay. That’s if she begged him not to go.

“It’s okay,” she whispers back. Nodding as he almost absent-mindedly tidies himself up. “We’ll talk later. We probably need to do that? This is crazy, Paul. Just so completely crazy.”

And yet as he smiles. Shrugging as he heads towards the door before stopping and looking back at her. It feels bizarrely right too. Completely and utterly so, especially when she stands, and so does Teddy, and then Paul’s expression is one of lust as Teddy’s fingers are curling around her wrist.

Dragging her. Pulling her ever so gently towards the table. Whispering sweet nothings. Telling her how delicious she is, and as Paul hisses, his body tensing as she allows herself to be lifted and her knickers removed, it feels as if it’s the most natural thing in the world that Teddy should grip his cock before teasing it inside her.

“Fuck,” Paul says, looking at his watch and then running towards the kitchen to fetch his keys. “Gotta go. I can’t even believe I’m doing this, but I’ve really got to fucking go.” Yet he carries on watching. Grabbing his phone out of his pocket and cursing as shaky fingers unlock it. He dials, lifting the phone to his ear and then barking all kinds of orders down the line about who his secretary needs to call to help with this diabolically inconvenient situation, and also piling instruction after instruction on top of that. Reminding her how she can’t let the client who is currently sitting in reception threatening to take his business elsewhere leave under any circumstances. Never mind his job gone. The entire business might fold if that happens.

And then seconds later he’s gone. And Penny is left there all alone with Teddy, and suddenly she thinks she understands what Paul was talking about when he said he wanted to throw away the rule book.

He wants this. Her prostrate across the table. First Tyler. Now Teddy between her legs. What was it he’d said to her when he was arranging for her to meet Tyler in that hotel? Something about her being free to be herself. The new her. The her who, after Tyler found his way into their bed, would want far more than he alone could give her. And she’s not sure how much of that was wishful thinking on Paul’s part.
