CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN

Within an hour, they were naked between the sweaty sheets, a giggling mess as Harrison did a bad job at unbuttoning his shirt and pulling off the belt that Adrian was wearing. His lips were swollen and his hands cramped from gripping at Harrison’s back, who made sure had the condom from his stash, stayed well hidden. He didn’t want to remind him of what was going to happen. It hurt; the pain only lasted for so long until a wave of euphoria haemorrhaged in every beacon of his body. Harrison whispered small apologies and compliments into his hair, the sound of his voice strained as his shoulder-blades broadened, the dimples in the dip of his back darkening, his nerves releasing beneath Adrian’s palms, his eyes blurred as his fingers clenched around the top of the bedframe. Everything fit and felt so right.

Harrison’s hair fell over his eyes, and Adrian took his time to push it out of his face to admire him. “You’re doing amazing, baby.” He would occasionally murmur into his cheek as he placed tender kisses across it. Each time the pain would make a performance, Adrian did his best to bite on his tongue and blink back the tears. “It’s okay, just focus on me.” Harrison would pant, wiping the ones that would escape from his skin.

The springs in the mattress groaned at their movements, and Adrian’s fingers numbed once Harrison fell into his body, his chest spooned between the pillow and his collarbones that were painted in colours of blue and red. Even though the love-bites stung, he felt sedated which made it impossible to keep his eyes open. The only thing he could do was smile, even though the bruises that were forming and spreading around his thighs and the beads of sweat that were rolling down his cheeks made him feel more exposed then what had just happened, the content look on Harrison’s face made all of it feel worth it.

“Are you okay?” Harrison questions, rolling onto his side after a few seconds and pulling the sheets further up their bodies.

Adrian’s breathing was still laboured as he nodded in response, his throat dry and sore. His eyes caught sight of all the scratches he had left on his arms from his bloody fingertips. “I’m sorry, do they hurt?” he asked, slowly sitting up.

“What? No.” Harrison rubbed over them with a small laugh, “was that okay?”

Adrian repositioned his neck, now looking up at him. “Why do you always ask that?”

“Because I want to make sure that every time, I touch you or kiss you, you’re okay and it’s a good memory.”

Adrian smiled, a wide smile, “It was better than okay. I think you need to shave though.” He stroked Harrison’s stubbly cheek, small hairs were starting to grow. Harrison swatted his hand away with a chuckle.
