“Her husband knows, Nadra,” I told her as Nadra slid off my face. “It's a game the Daniels play. Listen.”

Nadra frowned. A low moan of passion rose through the floor, a bed squeaking. “Are they...?”

Savannah chortled. “Of course they are. They've been going at it hot and heavy since she left. It's so obvious her husband knows. He's a werebear. He has to smell Connor all over her. It would be impossible to hide it.”

“She even streamed our fucking,” I smiled. “So her husband could watch us while he was out of the town over the weekend.”

“That's...doesn't seem right,” Nadra frowned.

“Werebears are fucked up,” laughed Savannah.

“So relax, okay,” I told her. “No one got hurt. It was just fun.”

“It's...different. This wasn't how I was raised.”

“I know it's hard for you to accept that I have multiple...wives.” I almost said mates, but I wanted to use a more human term.

“No. That's okay. I'm...” Nadra swallowed. “It's not uncommon for powerful Djinn of all five tribes, including mine, to take more than one wife.”

“Really?” I grinned. “I'm glad to hear you're okay.”

“But, I was from a poor family,” Nadra continued. “I always thought I would be married to one man. It's what I expected. So...this is an adjustment.”

“Well, we'll corrupt you,” Savannah purred. “Mmm, she smells delicious, Connor. Smoke and fire beneath her jasmine.”

I took a deep whiff. Nadra did smell lovely, but there was smoke beneath her. Hot, exciting smoke. “Yeah, we'll corrupt you,” I laughed.

“Yes, you are definitely doing that,” Nadra sighed, then a smile played on her lips.

“So, Djinn are genie, right, like from Aladdin?”

Nadra gave me a weird look. “Yes, I am a Djinn, of the tribe of Ifrit from the Unseen Realm. I don't know about...Aladdin?”

She was a type of genie. My heart beat faster. “So you can grant wishes?”

“No.” She shook her head. “Only Noble Jann can do that, and they rarely come to the Mortal World for that reason. I am not a being of creation but destruction.”

“So why did you come to this world?” Savannah asked. “I think you mentioned fleeing last night.”

“Well...” Nadra swallowed. “I was betrothed to Mu'tasim ibn Baqir. He was the Satrap of Al-Dhukan, a powerful servant of the leader of my tribe, Sheikh Haleem ibn al-Ifrit. My father was in debt, and Mu'tasim demanded that I marry him as payment. My father tried to stop it, tried to find other ways out of the debt, but Mu'tasim insisted. I...I am a great beauty. He wanted to add me to his harem. He is a terrible man. I...I gave into my shame and fled to your world.” Tears spilled out of her eyes, steam rising from her cheeks as they boiled off.

I hugged her, pulling her tight against me. She threw her arms around me, sobbing into my chest. Her body was warm in my arms. Savannah hugged the both of us. “You poor thing,” she cooed. “You're safe. He won't find you. He can't have you.”

“But...but...I left my parents.
