"TO my bedroom, Jenny, at once," said Mademoiselle one fine morning to me at breakfast. I was very hungry and had not begun, "and fetch my po, just as it is, mind."

I went and returned with the article in which was some of the clear limpid fluid from Mademoiselle's own person. Beatrice was staying in the house at the time. She and Barbara were in the room. As usual, I was in a very short frock and a tightly laced corset.

"Take it to the closet and empty it, then bring it back and you are not to rinse it." I did so.

"Now take your napkin — wipe it out — bring it here — then there is your porridge milk and sugar," said Mademoiselle putting them into the po. "You are to eat out of it and when you have done, you shall have your tea in it with your bread and butter — sit down there on the floor and begin or I shall birch you until you do."

My feelings of disgust and nausea were intolerable.

"I shall exact abject submission," said Mademoiselle. "I shall make you put your head in the po, and-and do something in you if you hesitate — you must submit to your mistress."

"Oh Mademoiselle, anything else."

"No, no! Not anything, no nonsense; obey."

I thought I should vomit the food. I wished I had wiped the utensil drier, I had had no idea of the use my governess intended to put it to.

I ate the porridge out of the po, to Barbara's and Beatrice's huge satisfaction. They considered it a very suitable and proper punishment.

Then my tea was poured into it — drinking out of the vessel, which entailed touching it with my lips, was worse than eating out of it.

At lunch I had to get it and my lunch was put into it. The same at tea and dinner. After each time I had to replace it.

Mademoiselle used it in the ordinary way all the week this discipline continued.

I got, however, so cantankerous about it that one day after luncheon, she took me to her room and stripped me, put me into a bath with a strap across my chest. It was a long narrow bath tilted up at the foot.

She stood across me, lifted her skirts to her waist displaying her shapely legs. Quite unconcernedly, she then opened her drawers. I saw something hairy. She gazed at me. I looked at it. It moved. A copious stream suddenly fell on my ears, my mouth, my eyes, tingling, smarting, burning; she was peeing on me. I opened my mouth to cry out — down went the hot fluid and before I could save myself, it got to the back of my throat and would have choked me if I had not swallowed it. Mademoiselle laughed the moment I opened my mouth; she directed the volley there. I must have swallowed a pint of it.
