Remember only you truly know your strategy and criteria for an individual property so never let the agent or anyone else, with the exception of a paid, trusted and most importantly experienced advisers talk you into buying a property that goes against your strategy. These paid advisers are the only people that should have your genuine interest at heart. Remember that properties do come and go on an ever revolving conveyor belt of bricks and mortar. Sometimes I fire Rightmove up and think, ‘wow there is nothing on the market at the moment’ then three weeks later I think ‘wow where have I been the last few weeks’. The best thing about Rightmove and perhaps my favourite time-saving feature is that of the periodic search. After you’ve done the initial sorting and saving of listings, you can then search periodically through the ‘added in the last 24hrs, last 7 days, last 14 days feature. You can save your periodic search to fit in with your schedule and only be presented with the newest properties. You can also get instant notifications on listings that match your search criteria as soon as they are uploaded by the agent but as I will explain in a short while, tread lightly here.
