The following week proved to have a slightly lighter workload and I was joined by my colleague and temporary lover, Julian. Our relationship has been on and off for the last few years. No one else in the team knows about it, which suits us both. Family and children have never been on my agenda and he is a little bit too young to know what he wants. But we like each other's company both at the office and at home, can talk about most things and most of all: we have great sex. I would never dream of moving in with him, but after my stressful period at work that culminated in weird nightmares of drowning, I was pleased to have Julian's company. Especially since he is exceptionally good at choosing wines. On Wednesday evening, we cooked together and chit-chatted over a large glass of red wine. I told him about the negligent lifeguard who had missed a visitor entering the swimming baths and about the weird scenario that had appeared in my dreams shortly afterwards. Julian nodded slowly and frowned when I got to the part about me sinking. After a while, I couldn't help but laugh.

"You're looking awfully serious", I teased him and stirred the saucepans.

"Dreams have a symbolic language", Julian said, "and perhaps your subconscious mind is trying to tell you something."

"What, that my swimming is substandard?" I replied taking a sip of the full-bodied wine.

Julian scratched his chin and looked pensive.

"As I recall, drowning in dreams means either fear, stress or identity crisis", he eventually concluded.

"And out of those three, we both know exactly what the issue is", I snorted.

Julian looked intently at me and cocked his head to the side like a little puppy.

"As long as you are taking care of yourself. I don't want you to have a heart attack."

"Hey, I'm not that old", I retorted and punched him lightly on the arm.

His worried look transformed into a naughty grin, he grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled me close so that his wine splashed over the rim of his glass. I put my arms around his neck and kissed him. He put the glass on the worktop and started stroking my back.

"Aren't you hungry?" I teased.

"Yes, I am, but not for food", he answered, spun me around and hoisted me up onto the kitchen table.

Julian pushed my knees apart and pulled me close, while we carried on kissing. I glanced over at the pan on the hob.

"Do we have enough time?" he mumbled.

"We have time", I replied with determination in my voice and started unbuttoning his jeans with fumbling fingers.

My breathing was growing ragged and I suddenly realised what I needed more than anything else right here and right now was a really good fuck, this time performed by Julian. I managed to get my top and knickers off, but then I didn't want to wait anymore and grabbed his cock with my hand and began to stroke and caress. Julian moaned and pressed himself against me.
