Chapter 6

Experience

We believe we are here for learning and experience, but it turned out that this experience doesn’t

matter at all

There is a very popular belief that states we are here for an experience

When I started my emotional work, I just wanted to release my pain, but I was granted a miracle of a much deeper understanding of sensitivity and emotional power. Let me explain how we completely misunderstood the meaning of experience. Everyone is familiar with the popular notion that we are here to learn and gain some experience. This belief is based on the idea that we need to navigate life, and therefore we go through the experience of learning. Experience helps us to make faster and better choices, become available to help others, or transform into better versions of ourselves daily. The question I asked was when it would be enough. Why am I losing all the people I love or am engaged with? I was so young when I was separated from my mother, from both grandparents due to divorce and relocation, from my older sister Oksana, whom I still love and help, my second mother Nina, my father. My personal life shows no differences. Why are we trapped in repetitive experiences? Why don’t we start to experience anything else as being enchanted by the same?

Something was missing in this concept. I needed to stop the pattern, which I could not survive anymore. People who start to recognize patterns should question this experience theory of existence with persistence; otherwise, life will happen to us again and again. That means we will remain victims of circumstances without the knowledge and ability to change the cycle. The idea that came to me was so bold that it surpassed all my fantasies. It has been said that you need to treat your mind with big questions if you want it to work to its full potential, and I took a risk. Whoever follows the same path can experience Eureka moments as I did, hanging the question in the air with humility and respect for something greater than ourselves. My question was simple but very emotionally charged for me. I asked, ‘what do I need to learn from the losses of all dear to my heart?’

An answer I received may be a pearl of known wisdom to some, but each of us lives in our world, so any knowledge needs to be grounded in personal reality. Mine was enlightened with the thought that we are here not to learn or get even more experience but to get rid of it; more precisely, from consequences of past experiences or unprocessed emotions related to it.
