DON’T UNDERESTIMATE YOUR EGO

My ego can be one tough customer. Tell it that I’m going to perform a little mental housecleaning and it will do anything it can to prevent that from happening. That’s why I can never underestimate my ego or the flood of old garbage TBOs that it will unleash to try to convince me that everything is fine just the way it is.

At the same time, I don’t want to underestimate the ability of my Inner Garbageman to shut that behavior down. I may lose the battle to my ego now and then, but I’m no weakling. As strong as my ego may be, I can own up to my behavior and take back control. So bring on the garbage. I’m ready to throw it out if I need to!
