3. Be where success is going to happen

Instead of going to a special place in your mind when you visualise, why not physically be in that special place? You’ve probably already done it before. Ever sneaked into your manager’s office to christen the posh office chair with your junior executive behind, dreaming of the day you’re the boss? There’s a reason why it felt good.

Go to the place where your goal will be achieved and do your imagery exercise right there. Maybe it’s the boardroom where the big pitch meeting will be held. Find a way to get in there before the meeting. Take a moment to close your eyes; feel the room where you will give the presentation of your life. When it’s the real event, you’ll already have the mental experience of succeeding.
