CHAPTER THIRTEEN

On the day of the meeting with the Bratva and Polish mob bosses. I’m nervous but also excited to see the faces of those fucks when they see that they have been found out. I hate thieves, and the fact that they are in it together is the worst part. I decide to wear over-the-knee boots and strap the knives with the attached holster. The stockings underneath the boots will allow the knives to slide out smoothly. I wear a loose Kimono-style top tied tight around my waist, covering my ass. I’m not going to the meeting like I am presenting a PowerPoint, and I have a feeling things could get messy, and I’m itching inside with rage. Jiro is right, once you take the first life, it gets easier to expect more, and I think my time has come to get over the darkness of it all and just accept it. I text Yan that I’m ready, and he comes through the door of the apartment, holding it open so we can go to a discreet warehouse in the city. He gives me the directions that the Kings sent him, and he enters it in the GPS. We head in that direction in the Urus, revving its engine.

We arrive at the warehouse, and it looks old and abandoned, but looks can be deceiving. This must be where the King’s do their dirty business. We get out of the car, and Yan leads the way through the door inside the warehouse that smells like gunpowder and death. I can see another door that leads to a meeting table, and all three Kings are seated at the table along with a big Russian that has an angry scar running down his cheek with the eyes of a cold-blooded killer. The other must be the Polish mob boss; he gives me the creeps like he rapes young women for fun with his brown eyes and puffy cheeks. I wonder how they are in business to steal together. The Polish mob and the Russian Bratva are rivals; something doesn’t smell right. These guys don’t look like bosses; they look like guys that were sent by the bosses. They are too smart to be alone in a room with the Yakuza and the Kings. I realize that the Kings want to send a message either way. I see Jiro stand to the right by the door, and Relic’s eyes turn gold like honey when I walk through the door, keeping his eyes on every movement I make. The Polish guy runs his tongue along his lips, the exact reaction I was expecting from the disgusting creep.

The Russian is bolder in his accent, “So, this is the one who is going to run Elysium from Japan? She looks good enough to ride my cock with those eyes.”

Jiro’s eyes turn dark and murderous, and Relic’s head turns in the Russian’s direction when the Russian laughs.

“That won’t be necessary; she has enough information on you both that you might find interesting to hear.
