Chapter 6

I decided to make the yoga class my weekly staple. The teacher was incredibly hot and it brought me closer to Joanna, we even spoke about non-work topics sometimes. I could also definitely see some definition in my body. My ass certainly looked more shapely and was definitely more firm. I slapped my ass one night to check.

Work was getting easier and easier too. After a month I felt comfortable. I was definitely becoming Joanna’s favorite employee. I worked hard, she could always rely on me. This didn’t upset the rest of the team. If anything I think they were glad that I was taking up so much work. Me and Joanna were working on a project that required a lot of hours. One night we were working until everyone had left. Needless to say, I enjoyed being sat next to her. My mind would often think of things we could do alone in this office with no one else around. As I was just about to think of some filthy fantasy she spoke:

“I’m exhausted, thank you for staying late with me. Shall we call it a night?”

“I’m happy to work longer if you like.” I replied.

“No, let’s call it. How about we get a drink and take the edge off the day.”

I nodded and smiled. Excited to get some alone time in a social setting.

We sat in a bar near work and chatted. Her lips looked nice pursed against a wine glass. She was relaxed. We first spoke about work and trivial things until she asked:

“So, are you seeing anyone?”

I went red in the face. It took me by surprise.

“Not at the moment”

I said, sipping on vodka and soda. Was she interested? Or was it just small talk?

“How about you?”

“Same.”

She was single! How exciting I thought. She continued:

“I was in a long relationship, but it didn’t quite work out.”

“What happened? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“She was nice but we wanted different things. We weren’t really compatible in all parts of a relationship.”

She! Did she really say she? I could feel my whole body convulse in excitement. I didn’t know what to say.

“That’s a shame.” I lied.

“So, are you in the dating pool at the moment? Any hot young men taking your fancy?”

“Oh, I go both ways.”

I blurted out. What a stupid thing to say I thought.

“Good to know.” She said.

Phew I thought. Then I realized what she said. ‘Good to know’, is she flirting with me? She continued to drink her wine as if nothing had happened and moved conversation to other things. Was she playing it cool? It was a fleeting comment but I couldn’t get it out of my head.

When I got home she had text me. I didn’t even know she had my number. She thanked me for the work I had done and had enjoyed getting to know me a bit better. She ended it with a winking emoji. I could have come there and then. Her profile picture was of her on a beach.
