Clodagh could see the worry etched on her face, even in the dim light. Something else was going on and Clodagh had the suspicion that things might be very different in the morning.

Chapter 7

Clodagh stirred in her sleeping bag. She felt stiff and tired. She stretched out hoping it would help, but it didn't do much. Sleeping on the bothy floor had been warm enough thanks to the fire, but even with mats down it had been hard to get comfortable enough to sleep well. She almost turned over and tried to sleep again, but she could hear someone rustling about in the little kitchen area and she knew she wouldn't be able to drift back to sleep without knowing who it was. Glancing over she saw Aunt Lisa rifling through the first aid kit on the little kitchen workbench. She popped something out of a little blister pack, picked up a glass of water, and headed over to where Mandy was sitting.
