Chapter Four

“SHH,” RYAN’S SAYING, “you did so good. You were amazing for me. You just have to lie here now, okay? Let me put you back together. You’ve done enough work for the night.”

He drops kisses to Daniel’s hair, enough pressure for Daniel to know he’s being kissed, to know he’s not alone, but without overloading Daniel’s sense of touch. It feels like the air is too much right now, like Daniel can feel it pressing against every bit of his skin.

“You with me?” Ryan asks.

Daniel’s face is wet with tears. He nods. He’s more or less here. And Ryan’s holding on to him, so he’s not going to float away.

There’s something important, something Daniel needs to say, but the urgency is lost in the fog of his brain, thoughts stretching out, too thin to grab onto. It takes him a few moments to figure it out. It takes him longer to force the words from his mouth.

“Thank you,” he says.

Ryan looks down at him as if Daniel’s something precious. “Let’s get you in the bath. I’ve gotten you quite messy.”

Bath sounds good. Ryan will have to hold him up, though; make sure he doesn’t sink under the water. Daniel’s wrung out, not sure he can do anything other than exist for a while. It’s a pleasant thought.

Ryan runs sure hands through Daniel’s hair. “I’m going to start the water and then I’ll be back.”

Daniel nods. He turns so he can see Ryan walk into the adjoining bathroom, and he loses sight of him for a moment before the man is heading back. He didn’t think Ryan would abandon him, but relief still sweeps through him at Ryan’s return.

Daniel can’t help but notice how Ryan’s cock hangs heavy between his legs. Daniel’s come three times tonight, and Ryan’s still unsatisfied. It doesn’t seem right. Daniel narrows his eyes. Ryan doesn’t come in private unless Daniel’s done something wrong. Denying Daniel his orgasm is something they both enjoy. Denying Ryan’s is used for punishment.

“I was good,” Daniel says. He hates the lift at the end of “good” like he’s asking a question instead of stating a fact. He was good. He let Ryan use him; he thanked Ryan after each orgasm. He shouldn’t be denied Ryan’s.

“Ah,” Ryan says. He looks amused. “My mistake. I should jerk off before you go to sleep. Maybe right now, make more of a mess on you before your bath.
