Blu's head touches mine. His breathing is harsh. After a minute I realize that he is crying quietly. Salt tinges the air. I let my own tears flow more freely.

"My mates," Teague's voice rumbles deeply next to us. "Shh, my mates," the rumble is his wolf. It's so darn comforting when he wraps his arms around us both. Even Blu allows it. I think we both need Teague to just guide us right now. He's the dominant wolf and just his presence soothes the wild animal in us.

I lean on him, on them both. I'm scared. I'm in heat. I know, in the back of my mind, that I still haven't processed my mom's death. I haven't wrapped my head around my brand-new mating. I may become pregnant from this heat and I haven't thought about that, yet.
