As we turned the corner of the living room and I saw my brothers

sitting around the room watching television, I had a new thought that I

knew I needed to share with my Sjol Kypher. I smiled as I glanced

down at his confused face.

“I will share my family with you.”

Micah’s light-blue eyes widened as he turned to look at the large

men in the living room. “These are your brothers?”

“They are.” Even I could hear the pride in my voice, but I was

proud. Each of my brothers were honorable men. We were chosen to

work together because we each brought something to our small group

of warriors. We complemented each other, and that made us a better

fighting force.

“They’re huge,” Micah whispered.

I chuckled again, amused by the astonishment in Micah’s voice

and the awe swirling around in his mind. I had truly meant it when I

told Micah that his mind was an interesting place. It was. Micah

seemed to jump from one thought to another in the blink of an eye.

He was amazing.

And the things that flowed through his head amazed me. How

anyone could go from astonished to scared to intrigued in a matter of

a few thoughts confused the hell out of me. Micah’s mind was like a

minefield.

I kept expecting his head to explode.

“Let me introduce you.” I cleared my throat until every last

brother turned to look at me and Micah. Sye reached over and muted

the television. “This is the Kypher od mi sjol, Micah Mihas.”

My brothers nodded at Micah, but no one moved until I nodded at

them. My brothers would not approach Micah or touch him until they

had my permission. Once I nodded, they stood up and walked over to

us, one at a time.

“This is Zale,” I told Micah as my brother came over. “He’s the

one that donated the dark chocolate to you.” I grinned when Micah’s
