There’s a fully decked out Christmas tree in Denver’s suite. Mine only had a wreath. I dig for my toothbrush in my toiletry bag with a trembling hand. It’s Christmas Eve and boy oh boy, did Santa make a surprise entrance.

Entrance? I nervously chuckle at the thought. I’ve been getting myself off nightly fantasizing about him. Pretending he was riding me rough and wild, like he did when he was winning rodeos and fucking buckle bunnies in every town.

But now, I’m petrified. As much as I’ve dreamed about screwing my stepdad’s brains out, now that the possibility of that actually happening is here, I’m nervous. We grabbed a quick bite with the rest of our crew and then soaked in the hot tub which relaxed me a bit. But here I am, minutes later in the bathroom, changing into my sleep clothes, shaking like a leaf.

And here’s the kicker: I only packed the skimpiest silky boxer shorts and a barely there top. Obviously, I was expecting to have my own room for the duration of the stay, so I didn’t even pack a bathrobe. I take an extra-long time washing my face and brushing my teeth, hoping Denver will be asleep when I’m finished. Fingers crossed. I inhale a deep breath and enter the bedroom.

The space is dark and smells of fresh pine, but in the dim light of the moon and the sparkling lights from the tree I see Denver is already in bed. I freeze, standing in the doorframe. What if he sees me prancing around like an idiot in my underwear? I quietly close the door and quickly tiptoe, making a beeline to the cot housekeeping set up for me. It’s on the other side of the room, so I fake a yawn and make a loud sigh along the way, hoping he’ll get the signal I’m ready to sleep. Just a few more steps and I’ll be under the blankets.

“No. You’re not sleeping on that cot.” His rugged voice calls out in the dark. Fabric rustles and I turn to see the outline of his six-foot three frame straighten. “If anyone is spending the night on that thing, it will be me, but the bed is big enough for both of us.”

I pretend I don’t hear him and continue to the cot, secretly wishing and praying he’ll forget what he just said. But there’s no ignoring his muscular, shirtless physique as he steps in front of me, blocking my path.

“I don’t bite.” With my heart thumping so hard I’m sure it’s hitting my ribcage, I do my best to stay composed, but I can’t believe this is happening. He’s so close; I feel the warmth radiating from his body. “I want you so badly,” he says, sliding his large hand around my waist. “I’m going to kiss you now, and I don’t think you’ll do anything to stop me.”

Without another word, his lips crash down on mine and he tugs me closer. There’s no hiding his massive erection.
