Instructions:

Place the butter into a microwavable bowl, then heat it in the microwave until melted. After melting, let the butter cool slightly, so it is still melted but not hot to the touch.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, and whole milk to the melted butter and whisk together until fully blended.

Add the salt, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder to the bowl and whisk again until a smooth batter forms. Once mixed, let the batter rest for 5 minutes to allow the flour to soak up the liquids and thicken the batter.

Fold the raspberries and chocolate chips gently into the batter, stirring just a few times to mix them.

Lightly grease a non-stick skillet (butter, oil, or baking spray will all work!) and heat the pan over medium heat.

Pour about ½ cup of batter into the preheated pan and let the pancakes cook for about 2 minutes. When bubbles start to form in the batter, flip the pancake over and cook for another 2 minutes.

Serve while hot!
