Debriefing

“Wait, what the hell are you doing?” Alan asked.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“You’re leaving, just like that?”

“What else would I do?” she asked. “We had the role-playing session I was hoping for ahead of tomorrow night, and you got what you wanted.”

He looked at her for a long moment. Again he seemed to be on the verge of suspecting something was up, but then something even more interesting happened.

He looked disappointed. Like he was genuinely upset she was leaving and didn’t want to spend time with him.

It was a definite contrast from the “love’em and leave’em” reputation he’d cultivated.

“I mean I was hoping…”

“Hoping what?” Kara asked.

“That maybe you and me…”

She smiled and shook her head.

“Oh honey,” she said. “What did you think was going on here? Did you think we were actually going to have a study session? Tell stories to each other late into the night or something?”

“I mean I thought that…”

He paused. The guy looked genuinely perplexed. Like maybe he had been hoping for all of that.

And if anything this was even more delicious than watching him getting with my girlfriend. Because it was clear he wanted more from her. Something he wasn’t going to get because, at the end of the day, she was my girlfriend. Not his. He could borrow her for a little while, with her permission, but what he really wanted wasn’t happening.

“Fine,” he said, sounding pissed off. “Go if you want to.”

“I did have fun tonight,” Kara said. “And we will have more fun. If you don’t act like a jackass.”

Immediately he changed his tune. It was like he could turn on a dime. He seemed to sense he was in very real danger of losing what he’d just had, and I didn’t think he wanted to stop before he got a chance to fuck her. Or at the very least a chance to get a look at her tits.

“So we’ll do this again sometime?” he asked.

“If you play your cards right,” she said.

She came around the table, her backpack slung over her back, and she leaned down. Which gave me an excellent view of her ass while also giving him an excellent view down her shirt at the tits he didn’t quite get to see tonight because he’d come too soon.

Then she pressed her lips against his. It was a serious kiss, too. She opened her mouth to him and they sucked face, but only for a moment.

She pulled away and grinned.

“Have a good night, Alan,” she said. “I’ll see you tomorrow at the club, right?”

“Right,” he said, licking his lips as he watched her leaving.

Which had me finally breaking off the recording and leaning even farther back against the book stack I’d been hiding against. Kara was coming straight for me, and he might see me.

Kara turned and headed down the same line of books I’d been hiding in. She smiled and she really surprised me by leaning in and kissing me.

I wasn’t sure what I thought of kissing her so soon after she’d had her lips pressed against another man’s.
