CHAPTER 10

We made love twice more, and I learned that despite what I read in the magazines, Jagger had an almost zero recovery rate. He could come, and a minute later, he was ready to do it again. I again found myself wishing we had done this earlier in our relationship because I was enjoying not only the sex but the intimacy.

I went back to my house at 8:30 am after waiting for my parents to leave for work. Virginia wasn’t awake yet, and I was able to slip out unseen. Jeff was still sleeping since he didn’t have practice until 11 am.

On the short walk, I thought about how I left for his house last night as a virgin and was returning just the opposite. It made me smile. I was a little sore but making love with Jagger was well worth the pain. While in the shower, I winced as I cleaned myself with a washcloth. It would take time for me to get used to him being inside me. When I got out, Jeff was just getting up.

“I have the car today,” he declared. “Don’t even think of taking it.”

“Jeff, what’s your problem with me? Why are you always so nasty?” I growled.

He snorted. “Because you’re an embarrassment. Why do you have to be such a nerd?”

“I’m trying to get into a good school. Don’t you care about that?”

“I have B grades. Besides, all I care about is football.”

“But I don’t call you a dumb jock, so why do you have to be such an asshole because I want to study?” I yelled.

My brother was pissing me off enough to make me want to take a swing at him. He never had my back and if anything went down in school with Sarah, I was sure he would take her side.

“You could be popular if you would act normal. I know guys talk about wanting to date you.”

“Who talks about dating me?” I asked with curiosity.

“Brandon, for one, and even if you’re with Jagger, he wants to ask you to homecoming.”

“I can’t. I’m not breaking up with Jagger.”

“Why? You’re going to be alone all of senior year? He’ll probably cheat on you back in LA.”

“You’re such a dick. Why would you say that?” I screamed.

“Because he will. Look at the guy. Don’t be stupid. He’ll go back there and forget all about you. Lucky you didn’t fuck him,” Jeff said as he laughed sarcastically.

Tears pricked my eyes but I wouldn’t give Jeff the satisfaction of seeing me cry.

“Thanks for having faith in me. You think I can’t keep him?”

“You don’t know the first thing about keeping a guy. You’ve never dated anyone.”

I put my hands on my hips. “At least I’m not panting after the school whore.”

“Sarah is not a whore. She’s hot.”

“Yeah, hot for half the football team. You could do so much better.”

“I want her. I’ve wanted her for years. Don’t try to ruin it for me. You’re just jealous of her.”

I threw my hands up.
